11 December 2000 Grossmont Union High School District Launches First Parent/Student Resource Center at El Cajon Valley High What: Students, parents, community leaders and school officials launch the first parent/student resource center for the Grossmont Unified High School District. The center, a partnership between local community agencies, social service providers, and schools, offers access to FREE service that the school district generally does not provide such as drug and alcohol counseling, parenting and family involvement classes and community leadership training. Why: Prevention resources promote social, personal and academic success.
