24 October 2000 Recovering Drug Addicts Blast Prop. 36 What: Judges, treatment professionals and graduates of the San Diego County Superior Drug Court will highlight deceptive details of California's Proposition 36, which would make it illegal for judges to send non-violent drug offenders to jail. With no money for drug testing and no threat of jail for addicts who continue to use drugs, recovering addicts say Proposition 36 provides no incentives to make the difficult life changes necessary to give up drugs.
