Criminal Justice Leaders and Health Professionals Debate Controversial November Ballot Item

San Diego County Superior Court judges, prosecutors, public defenders, and probation officers along with San Diego County drug treatment providers, recovering addicts and community health advocates will hear arguments for and against the proposed Substance Abuse and Crime Prevention Act of 2000.

Why:

Opponents claim the initiative undermines the integrity of legitimate drug treatment programs such as the San Diego County's highly successful drug courts.
