Former Meth Moms Reunite With Children After Year of Intensive 'Drug Court'
Board of Supervisors may consider expanding program to additional county lawbreakers


What:
Twenty-three former drug addicts will graduate from the county's Drug Court program. Two participants are former meth-using moms who have earned the right to raise their children again. Another is a former addict who has just given birth to a meth-free baby.

Patricia K. Cookson, Superior Court Judge
Dianne Jacob, Chairwoman Board of Supervisors
Drug Court graduates and families.

Why:
The innovative Drug Court program provides drug treatment to nonviolent offenders within the San Diego County criminal justice system. The program is being considered for expansion.
