College Internship

Communities Against Substance Abuse is pleased to offer quarter, semester and year-long internship opportunities to enrolled college students. An internship is a temporary (unpaid) position that emphasizes on-the-job training to build the public health policy job force.

Interns bring important skills, enthusiasm, community support, and fresh ideas to the agency.  College interns play an integral role at Communities Against Substance Abuse. They are given the opportunity to work on public health campaigns targeted at reducing alcohol, tobacco and other drug problems in the community utilizing environmental prevention strategies.

Each intern is assigned a staff member to ensure that their internship is a successful experience.  The staff member will meet with the intern on a regular basis to review assignments and provide training as needed.  All Interns are responsible for fulfilling their required internship hours by the end of their internship.
