Since its humble beginnings, a small group of dedicated citizens from El Cajon, California, have grown into a countywide network of community leadership whose strength of commitment has led to effective and sustainable reductions in the use and abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use.
We support civic engagement by facilitating community conversations between residents and policy makers and unite disparate stakeholders for a common purpose. Initiatives implemented by Communities Against Substance Abuse are designed to shape community attitudes and support local and regional policies to prevent substance abuse and improve the physical design of the community - ultimately resulting in a healthier environment for all. |
